Ritz Paris – Redesign of the online booking experience
Project aims: Reinvent the online booking experience of the famous Ritz Paris palace and adding reservations capabilities for additional services (Restaurant, SPA, events).
The challenge: « As in this prestigious and historic hotel, the technology must be transparent and serve the customer. » (words from the Head of digital)
Design phase duration: February 2023 to July 2023.
My role: Lead the scoping phase to define and design the future of the booking experience with a full functional prototype. Lead the design team through the delivery phase.
The concept: The concept behind the new Ritz Paris website is “suspended time”: when you stay at the Ritz, you lose track of time and days, immersing yourself in an experience that takes you away from your everyday life. The homepage offers you a moment you might experience at the Ritz, based on the current time of day, displaying the Ritz’s own time.
Major milestone: meeting with Ritz Paris board’s members
The next phase of this project involved redesigning the Ritz boutique.
